    Seed Phrase

    Technical

12 or 24 words that control your wallet. Anyone with them owns your funds.

    Definition

A seed phrase is the master key to a wallet — typically 12 or 24 words from the BIP-39 word list. It derives every private key and every address in the wallet. Whoever has the phrase has the funds. There is no reset, no recovery, no support line.

Write it on paper or metal. Store it offline in at least two separate locations. Never photograph it, never paste it, never type it into any website. No legitimate team, exchange, or airdrop ever asks for it. If someone asks, it's a scam — always.

    Examples

    • Phrase on steel, split across two safes. Not one cloud backup.

    • Support DM asking for your seed phrase is 100% a drainer.

    • Phishing site mimicked MetaMask and asked to 'verify' the phrase — wallet gone in seconds.
